Later that evening, I took some time to intercede for that student who showed compassion. Just a few minutes into my prayer, it was like the Holy Spirit was waiting for me to bring it up. It felt as though God had opened up this lady’s vision to me, and I got an overwhelming burden and compassion for the vulnerable, the orphans and the needy. These were people who were self-raising and had no one to rely on. I saw her dream to build homes for these children and provide them with a sense of family. To introduce to them the love of God. With the right support, she could truly make a significant impact in the lives of those in need, just like my classmate.

 God revealed to me how we are frastrating His vision by disregarding such individuals with various visionary passions among us(Mark 7:13). He further reminded me the significance of forming partnerships to address our local community issues. I repented and prayed for guidance. God specifically instructed me to meet with this lady, hear out her vision, and commit to supporting her. The following day, after classes, I reached out to her accompanied by acolleague, requested her to tell us about her vision. As she did, I was amaized at how it resonated with what God had revealed during my prayer. That was the comfirmation I needed to financially partner with her.

 This has helped me realise the need of promoting a culture of giving among us Africans based on God's values rather than our traditional values.I believe our giving can be more effective if it's based on biblical principles. We slow God's vision of healing our land when we rely solely on foreign charity and partnerships. While we are thankful for foreign aid, I don't think it's God's best for us as a continent. We are missing out on the greater blessings that God promised to givers (Acts 20:35).

 Partnership is a Godly principle rooted in faith; enabling the contribution of small amounts from a larger group of people towards a commendable cause. This expedites God’s work, sparks community pride, responsibility and accountability. More importantly, Partnership alleviates the burden on all involved especially the vision bearer.
